FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TEMPEST Network/Laboratories International, Inc.

Announces Partnership with NorthPoint Communications and ComStar.Net

to Launch DSL Service!

June 05, 2000 — TEMPEST Network/Laboratories International, Inc. (www.tempestlabs.net), a leader in technology and online services, has formed a partnership with NorthPoint Communications (www.northpointcom.com), a leader in nationwide broadband services, and Comstar.net (www.comstar.net), a business class ISP (Internet Service Provider), to provide business and residential xDSL capabilities.

"These partnerships will allow TEMPEST to provide high-speed data connections via xDSL (Digital Subscriber Line) and future technologies," said Curtis Anderson, Chairman/CEO of TEMPEST. "We will be able to provide our clients with 'around-the-clock' support and reliability that is not possible with other service providers. NorthPoint will help us provide our clients with extensive geographic Internet access and Comstar's fully redundant systems will add to our own network's reliability."

The partnership with NorthPoint Communications will allow TEMPEST to expand into nationwide coverage. This means TEMPEST's clients will be able to access the TNL network locally from more than 1,000 POPs (Points of Presence) with future access to local dialing areas internationally.

TEMPEST's partnership with Comstar.net provides extendible functionality of DSL technology in businesses and organizations by enabling such advances as SDSL (Symmetrical Digital Subscriber Line) without the need to require expensive client upgrades. SDSL allows a truly dedicated connection to the Internet -- speeds are the same for both the upload and the download.

TEMPEST believes that xDSL technology is beneficial for those wishing to connect to the Internet for the following reasons:

· There is no need for a second phone line -- access the Internet and talk on the phone at the same time.

· This is a dedicated connection to the Internet -- no dialing required.

· There is no line sharing as with cable modems.

· Access to the Internet ranges from 144 Kbps to 1.5 Mbps -- that's several times faster than ISDN and more than 25 times faster than a 56K V.90 modem!

· Because of extensive and effective use of technology, TNL's data centers have managed 100% up time -- a statistic no other service and content provider can claim.
