FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TEMPEST Network/Laboratories International, Inc. to Partner with DeVry/Atlanta

TNL Partners with DeVry/Atlanta to provide students with leading-edge internships

June 13, 1997 — TEMPEST Network/Laboratories International, Inc. (www.tempestlabs.net) of Smyrna, Georgia has a unique CEO in Curtis Anderson. He is a Microsoft certified OEM, a Digital Equipment Corporation OEM, an Intel affiliate and holds a FCC license. Mr. Anderson, a software and hardware developer, has set two goals in his relationship strategy with DeVry. First, to be the premiere Atlanta Corporation to have the most DeVry interns from some of DeVry’s bachelor degree programs and secondly, have a long-term 5-year goal of being the largest employer of DeVry graduates nationwide.

Mr. Anderson wants to develop a long-term partnership with DeVry/Atlanta’s internship programs for Telecommunications Management (TCOM), Computer Information Systems (CIS) and Electronics Engineering Technology (EET). "Knowing how technologies are merging rapidly, TEMPEST Labs needs to have a huge diversity of technical skill sets," Mr. Anderson pointed out. "Students will be working with the cutting edge of technology in both hardware and software development." When asked what the students will be doing specifically, Mr. Anderson replied that "students will be learning about multimedia, Internet operations and management, network security, telecommunications software, network operating systems and distance education."

Mr. Anderson believes that "partnering with reputable academic institutions is the only way to meet my staffing needs in the 21 century. My attraction to DeVry is not only the quality of students’ technical training but their general education as well. It’s essential that TEMPEST’s future leaders have outstanding oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Besides, teamwork is the backbone of a successful business."

At DeVry/Atlanta, the Telecommunications Management Bachelor of Science provides an area of expertise that few schools teach in the country. Mr. Anderson is receiving the assistance of Telecommunications Professor Tom Milham, who helped to start the program at DeVry/Atlanta in October of 1995, to identify skill sets that will help match TEMPEST Labs’ needs. Professor Jim Clarke of the Computer Information Systems Department will also be assisting in this effort.

TEMPEST Network/Laboratories International, Inc. is a privately held company that aims to be the leading provider of products and services in the Internet, online and built-to-order industries. The company actively pursues alliances with leading companies, organizations and individuals interested in providing superior technology. .
